In addition to expert grooming, some dogs like me require a bath using a specially formulated de-shedding solution that removes much of my troublesome undercoat hair. I like it because it keeps me cool and feelin' clean, ... and let's be serious folks, what dog wouldn't like sloshing around in Aunt Carol's big bathtub?! My owner loves it because it means he doesn't need to vacuum the house quite so much and it's easier for him to brush me on a regular basis. Slippery Rock Pet Grooming and retail salon seeks an energetic, animal loving person to bathe pets and assist groomer 8 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday. Part time postition available and may become full time. Retail skills preferred. Training is available. Please inquire in person or by phone at (724) 794-3585.

Job Qualifications

Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.
Must be able to stand 6-8 hours per day.
Customer service skills including telephone.
Good verbal skills.
Ability to learn the cash register.
Ability to work with various chemicals (sprays, shampoos, conditioners etc.)
Must be comfortable approaching animals and greeting customers.
Must be able to assist groomer with brushing pets, holding difficult animals (protective gear provided) (i.e.) sleeves, gloves, apron, and masks if advised by groomer.
Must be able to safely place pets in kennels and monitor pets safety at all times.
Must conform to uniforms provided by S.R.P.G. (No sandals or flip flops. Closed toe shoes required.) Uniforms: Nylon lab jackets or pullover smock.
